During the cold winter time in Taipei, 2 Southern African partners from Zimbabwe visited headquarter office of Decision Group, and also finalized the decision to form the Decision Group South African office in Harare, Zimbabwe in order to respond the booming business in Southern African area. This office will be the 7th office in the world, and first one in Africa region.

“Security on Internet is very critical to both government and private enterprises,” said George Chihmini, CEO of DSC and partner of Decision Group, “ and demand on Internet security will grow rapidly in public sector and state-owned enterprises in the first phase in Africa countries, and later on in finance service industry, and telecom. We hope we can leverage with Decision Group’s most advanced technology on digital forensics to enhance Internet security for African customers.”

“General speaking, everybody thinks Internet security as the issues of virus infection, hacker intrusion…etc, but, actually, the issues of external threat are only no more than 30% of total security issues on Internet.” said Casper Chang, CEO of Decision Group, “The major threats on Internet are actually from internal threat and network resource abusing. That’s the most serious problem government and private enterprises face today with Internet.”

For the past 10 years, Decision Group invested lots of money to develop an effective system on Internet user behavior management with DPC technology in order to help government and private enterprises against internal threat. Now Decision Group products protect millions of customers in their offices from internal threats, data leakage, network abuse…etc in the world. We do believe African Internet users will also benefit from our start of new business office.

In this trip, Mr. George Chihmini also visited Institute for Information Industry, and was impressed by the achievement of III. In the future business plan, III will also leverage with Mr. George in South African business development.
